A freeper fact of the day.
Taken from a technology site infiltrated by freeps. Wacoyle responding to a question about power and WiMAX in Iraq says:

From what I understand, some of the electrical problems in Iraq stem from an increase in demand. So many more "gadgets" like washing machines and computers are available now than in Saddam's time that capacity can't keep up.

I would imagine they would have some sort of power back up system at the cell sites...

4. Wow, some people's stupidity simply amazes me. Gadgets? Is everyone over there
running out to the local Best Buy and getting new gadgets? I mean with the booming economy over there, everyone surely has tons of extra cash to buy stuff with right?

8. Isn't it hard to run the washer without water?
It doesn't work when I've tried it, but maybe Iraqi washing machines are different....

10. You should collect and use these facts.
Collect one every day and post it, then at the end of the week, use them to extrapolate greater Freeper "truths" about the wider world. I'll bet it could become as big as the Top Ten around here....

13. He's almost part right
There are more gadgets in Iraq, and more money through corruption to pay for them. That has nothing to do with available power, however, which is still a fraction of what it was under Saddam.

I cracked up watching one of the talk shows last night. They were talking about the high cost of fuel and Iraq actually importing oil. They've given up protecting some of the major pipelines (like the one to Turkey) because they get blown up so often, there's really nothing to protect. I was laughing at the neocons and their fantasy of a pipeline from the Stans through Afghanistan. The term I used was "bomb bait." When a drunk guy in Alaska can shut down a pipeline for weeks with one bullet, what chance do these things stand against insurgents?

The stupid people have been running this country for nearly 6 years. We have to get rid of them and make sure the worst of them can never, ever return to government.

15. THIS IS HUGH!!!111!!!!
It's either the washing machine, the 1000 watt sound systems blasting out the latest Iraqi popular music, the saturation of computers in the homes... Could be anything! Except for a devastated infrastructure.

Good god.

16. ....It gets even better (or worst)
He claims to be a COP in this topic about the UCLA student who was tasered. (it gets worst...)

Depends on what force continuum they use.

Some departments use a use of force model that dictates physical control (ie, laying hands on someone) before using defensive repellent (ie mace, or OC spray) or electronic incapacitation (a taser).

Some departments dictate the use of the defensive repellent before putting your hands on someone.

The department I work for now has a use of force continuum that allows you to use pepper spray (we call it "Cap stun") on a "passive resistor".

So basically, if I tell someone to move and they refuse, I tell them again, move or I'll pepper spray you.

If they don't comply with the second command to move, they get hosed down.

I've been pepper sprayed, maced, and tased (you have to be in the training to carry it). If they told me I had to get hit again, I would take the taser any day. It takes about 30 minuets for the pepper spray to wear off. That stuff is nasty. Recovery from the taser is much shorter and easier, unless you mess yourself...

Now here is the scary part in another topic he says:

I wish hoards of teenage girls would flock to me....

18 and 19 year old girls, of course....
