A Confession versus getting CAUGHT |
|
I have been wanting to get this off my chest for some time now. There was an article yesterday about Rev. Ted Haggard's "recovery" from the gay-illness he has. There was a line in the article that stated something like "Confession is the first step to recovery."
I'm sorry folks but he didn't "confess" to anything. He got caught. Confessing is going to someone and saying "I slept with your wife and I am sorry" or Haggard going to his wife and saying "I slept with a male prostitute for about the past three years and I have a meth problem."
He would still be doing the same thing today if he had not gotten caught. Rush Lickballs did the same song and dance after he got caught with the Oxy. He went on the air before going to rehab and did a whole "I confess my sins" speech.
Hey, we all do things we probably don't want out in the open. But when you get caught don't fucking lie to yourself or anyone else by claiming a confession. Mrs. Haggard is a saint (or really fucking stupid...you decide) for staying with this adulterous hypocritical piece of dog-hocky.

1. Mrs. Haggard's life is at risk |
|
because her husband slept around with other partners. I hope she is enlightened enough to realize this and get a through medical checkup to see if Haggy gave her any "social diseases."
