I sent him an email wishing him well upon the announcement that he has cancer.

I certainly did not expect this diagnosis,
but I am ready to take on this challenge by
joining the thousands of other cancer
survivors in Wyoming. I am looking forward
to continuing my work in the Senate as soon
as the 110th Congress begins in January.
Susan and I thank you wholeheartedly for all
of your thoughts and prayers.

I do think it was nice of him to reply. His website stated that they only responded to Wyoming residents.

DUers do the right thing when we show compassion regardless of party affiliation.

but I'm glad they're responding to everyone regardless of geography. I know it's s.o.p. for Senators to only reply to their constituents. I think he and his staff must have been surprised by the response.
