Rasmussen POLL: (D) Edwards leads (R) Romney 51%-34%, leads (R) Huckabee 50%-33%
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Political%20Tracking/Election%202008/Election2008.htm

Edwards 43%
McCain 47%

Edwards 41%
Guiliani 50%

Edwards 51%
Romney 34%

Edwards 50%
Huckabee 33%

The fact of the matter is this, McCain has a neglible lead at this point, only 4 points, and Guiliani will never win the nomination as long as he remains pro-choice, pro-gun control (which actually puts him to left of me) and pro-gay rights (I've never really understood what he's done that's pro-gay rights anyway?). McCain is despised by conservative activists, and Guiliani, while not despised, simply can't win when the field is eventually narrowed to him and a conservative, whether that's Brownback, Huckabee, Romney or Frist.

Clark/Edwards, Edwards/Clark. It's all good to me.

2. Rudy?
Forget his "socially liberal" stance. Wait until the NY Press gets done with him. If the people named CORRUPTION as their #1 concern now, Rudy will be TOAST.

Ask any New Yorker who didn't develop amnesia after 9/11.

14. that would be an interesting combination Edwards and Clark
but I wouldn't sell Edwards short, he has been out there, and he cares about people who do not have enough food on their tables.

16. Guiliani? Forget it
Edited on Tue Nov-21-06 08:08 PM by Charlie Brown
A pro-choice candidate will NEVER be the Republican nominee for President. It will be really comical watching the former Mayor of "liberal" New York try to sell himself to all the Rapture-ready Jesus minions in the heartland.
