He can pardon a turkey, but he can't decide whether troops |
|
should stay or come home. Such skewed priorities, makes me ill. They should have named the turkey 'george'.

1. That's kind of a silly complaint. |
|
I mean the pardoning of the Turkey is quite silly, I admit, but it's a national tradition. The two aren't connected. Bryant Check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

2. Dumb tradition imo, regardless of who's president. |
|
My point is, why isn't he addressing the question of the day? He's been gone for a week, is leaving after Thanksgiving again, and we haven't heard a word about what he plans on doing. I don't have any relatives over there, but the whole thing just infuriates me.

3. In a way they are related... |

In both cases, he's simply reading off a script anyway. The only difference is who supplies the script, Cheney or the White House PR office. Either way, the man is clueless and incapable of making any sort of decision on his own.

4. Just wait another two years... |
|
And see all the turkeys he'll be trying to pardon then. Like Scooter, DeLay, Bob Ney, and of course the Enron boys...probably Ken Lay too, even though he's dead.

6. If he pardons Ken Lay, then Ken Lay would be free to miraculously reappear. |
|
I, for one, won't be a bit surprised if he slips in an "inexplicable" full pardon for Kenny Boy just before leaving office.

When I heard he was giving 2 pardons I automatically thought Foley and Rummy. I didn't realize it was the real turkeys. I'm surprised he didn't give those birds the Medal of Honor. How cute to name them Fryer and Flyer. If they had 2 turkeys in Iraq their names should be Liar and Quagmire.

what ever he is on needs a big ass warning label on it saying: WARNING!!! THIS IS HAZARDOUS TO YOUR HEALTH. THE MOST SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS ARE: TURNING IN TO A BLUNDERING IDIOT (i.e. GWB), A MONKEY (i.e. GWB), OR DILLUSIONS OF GRADURE (i.e. GWB).

8. Pardoning a turkey is a "no brainer", therefore, right up bush's alley. |
|
Makes sense to me.
I understand what you're saying about priorities. In some ways, I'm relieved when bush sticks with "no brainers". He causes far too much damage when he attempts any actual governing.

   Muahahaaaaa!!!
Yes, let him stick to the "no-brainers" since it's pretty obvious he doesn't have a brain. Let Cheney go a-huntin', and let Pelosi run things in their absence. :woohoo:
