Democrats cannot assume the people know the truth about this Administration |
|
They have to have the courage to tell the people. Not only about the fiasco and the lies leading up to Iraq but about the secret prisons and the usurping of power to spy on everyone and to brush aside the Constitution as if it were a paper napkin from McDonalds. The Democrats must remind the people just how far in debt these folks have taken us. They have a right to know how deep the hole is in which they stand. The people need to know just how much damage these radical neocons have done to our military and our image around the world. It may take decades to repair. Unfortunately, many of the supporters of these folks are still in denial and are still under the spell of their deceptions. We cannot pretend that this is politics as usual. This is much more serious.

the dems need the media to help get the word out and unless there is a dem in the WH having sex, the media does not give a shit, even if the Constitution is being treated like a "napkin" from McDonalds.

5. There are ways around the media ... |
|
I've been kicking around this idea for some time ... and it probably would hit a lot of people ...
We have computers, and printers ... and cheap paper.
Print out points on regular sheets of paper. In some cases, use a Print Shop type program, or word processor program, which could make a "greeting card" type of printout.
Go around to where people will be standing around for a bit - bus stops, bulletin boards in public places ...
put up the sheets in those areas ... drop off the "greeting card" pamphlets in the entrances of libraries or other places where you get the free local weekly "papers" ...
Some people actually will read the stuff ...
put the "flyers" in left-leaning books in the libraries ...

2. Democrats cannot assume the people know ANYTHING. |
|
If they did, would we have had 12 years of rePuke congress and 6 years of the pig Bush?
If anything is evidence of the "Dumbing of America" I'd say that just about ends the argument.

3. My youngest daughter hates politics but she watched the |
|
Gore movie last night and was shocked. I think that movies can do a lot of informing. Here in our county we have a group of progressives who show the movies for free at the local college. This could be done with a lot of the things we would like to get out. If you have a DVD invite your friends to invite friends to watch it.

They will never remind the people about all of this. They are too afraid to be called mean spirited or whatever trumped up talking points the media handmaidens come up with.
