"New video and photographic evidence that puts three senior CIA operatives at the scene of Robert Kennedy's assassination has been brought to light.

The evidence was shown in a report by Shane O'Sullivan, broadcast on BBC Newsnight.

It reveals that the operatives and four unidentified associates were at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles in the moments before and after the shooting on 5 June, 1968.

The CIA had no domestic jurisdiction and some of the officers were based in South-East Asia at the time, with no reason to be in Los Angeles.

In the heat of the moment, the closest and most involved eyewitness is often the one with the unreliable memory, especially if that person has an emotional attachment to the victim. If you've ever listened to several witnesses who relate what they saw at a crime, even if they're looking from the same perspective as far as position and distance-wise, their stories will vary.

Detached observers -- if such a person can be found at an assassination -- are more reliable.

The Kennedy brothers were extremely dangerous obstacles to the powers that be. It makes me wonder if Ted Kennedy subconsciously set in motion the events which destroyed his own presidential aspirations at Chappaquiddick. He had to have known he would be the next target.

The three assasinations remain of utmost importance to Americans. Many people are beginning to regard them as "old news" and of no relevance.

The new film Bobby, apparently is unconcerned about the question of who planned the affair, but rather focuses on the "human interest" stories of those employed at the Ambassador Hotel at the time. Since it wasn't villified in the press before its release we can assume it meets with the approval of the powers that be.
