On this the beginning of the Giftmas Season - Thanksgiving Eve - we'll be visited by the Ghost of Warmongers' past, (that'd be Rumskull). We'll hear his sad, disoriented final holiday shout out to the remaining troops in Iraq, those that have survived his three-year killing spree. Guess we can be thankful for that.

And we'll also give thanks to Poppy Bush for the comic relief he offered us today by telling the foreign press that his son is a "good boy" after all and that the mean old world should just stop picking on him.

And we'll ask the question on everybody's mind: who or what did Cheney shoot this year for Thanksgiving?! It's always a festive culinary surprise at the Naval Residence Holiday table!

52. I don't cook - I heat up, and my sister didn't seem to appreciate my offer

to bring French Bread pizza, so I'll go over tomorrow and help set the table and clean off the table. My sister also makes really good stuffing. My mother's stuffing always came out like a brick and you needed to drown it in gravy to make it edible. I called it door stop stuffing.

Authorities say police were searching for a man who sold narcotics to an undercover agent when they burst into the Atlanta home of an elderly woman, sparking a gunfight in which three officers were wounded and the woman was killed.

Assistant Atlanta Police Chief Alan Dreher said Wednesday that the agents had obtained a search warrant after buying drugs Tuesday afternoon from a man in Kathryn Johnston's home.

At that address. So they secured a warrant to search the house.

They have not said anything about having the wrong house (in fact, they said that they were justified in shooting this woman).
