None of the Iraqis threaten our nation's security, or threaten us at all outside their own borders

THEY don't threaten our country any more than the Vietnamese did when Nixon waged his own ideological war against the supposedly dangerous spread of communism.

We walked away from that fight, and neither the Vietnamese nor any 'communists' posed any more of a threat to our nation's security than they did when Johnson committed us to their destruction.

In fact, when we walked away, the Vietnamese settled their own scores, without our interference. That's the same Vietnam that Bush wants to do business with today; not any more influenced today by communism than Putin, Bush's friend.

We can't play referee there forever. We will never hold back an 'ideology' with our soldiers.
