Seeking 3+ iconic Iraq war photos...
Edited on Thu Nov-23-06 11:42 AM by IndyOp
Letters with words aren't cutting it to inspire Congress to stop this war, so I am going to send pictures...

I am seeking 3+ iconic war photos and I've Googled for an hour+ and cannot find:

Abu Ghraib, lying down naked man with injury on leg - bloody leg, blood on floor.

Also - photos of injured US troops - I've seen several shots lately that I thought were more realistic than I've seen in a long time.

Thanks for any help...

On Edit - Two of the photos I was looking for are now posted below...

Girl, very close up, bloody face (especially around the eye) taken very near start of Iraq War - I think just after Shock & Awe.

US soldier holding/hugging injured preschooler wrapped in bloody blanket -- rivulets of the child's blood look like a pattern until you really look and realize there is no pattern on the blanket, just blood.

1. Is this the photo of the girl you were needing?

I had it stored on my computer for a video project I did. The other photos I'm not familiar with, but I've got tons of photos.

2. Yes. Thank you. She reminds me of
When Amy Goodman said once that the Time magazine cover just before the invasion should not have had Saddam Hussein's face in the cross-hairs -- it should've had a little girl's face in the cross-hairs because that is who was going to injured, killed by the bombs and bullets. And, sure enough, no bombs or bullets near Saddam.

4. OMG - I've never seen that - I'd say that's one of the most powerful
images of the war I've ever seen. That symbolizes everything wrong about this war: The innocent children dying, the pain it is causing our soldiers and nation.

I bet that soldier probably has a kid of his own at home... that is so sad.

it's recent and brings the war home in a way anyone can understand.

the series of photos related to the one below). The man has clearly been mauled and is bleeding. I can't find it any more through google.

On Edit:

Here's a smaller version, although I thought there was a pic where the wound had not been dressed, although I can't remember now.
