Attitude Problem?
I read the following excerpt in a review on Amazon.com.

"Yes, cruise ships dump waste into the sea, that is what boats do. It's allowed by law. We can change the laws if we want - where will the waste go? Will local ports "accept" that waste for free, to process it? Can they even handle the waste if they were paid to do so? These are issues that can be debated, but again to yell at the cruise ships for doing something legal and normal makes little sense to me."

Full Review

I found it striking that a review with such a dismissive statement contained within could be judged to have been helpful to 35 of 35 who read the same review. Albeit, there were valid points contained therein, however...What do you think?

1. LOL, must be cruise lines mid-management employees
Here's a quote that should cheer them;

"More than any other time in history, mankind faces a crossroads. One path leads to despair and utter hopelessness. The other, to total extinction. Let us pray we have the wisdom to choose correctly." -- Woody Allen

To minds like that it's not all black & white. It's black.

2. A variety of methodologies are available.
From chemical holding tanks to incineration. The cruise lines profit, it is their issue. They need to cope with it or be regulated out of exiostence, period!

3. On My Boat, I Have To Tank It With Later Sanitary Pumpout
That's the law if I'm within 7 miles of shore.

That's why I had to install a Y valve and tank

4. Yeppers, but don't try to tell me
you don't pee over the side when you're far enough out from shore that folks can't see what you're doing.

Every sailboat I was ever on had the pee over the side rule when it was a mile or more offshore. The brown stuff got tanked, though.
