I did the black friday once...did not get anything I was after.

I just buy a couple each month and have a huge trunk to put them in. In the long run, I probably spend about as much

1. I buy most Xmas gifts in school fundraisers thru the year
We help out the school and avoid the Xmas exploitation by corporations.

2. Same here. I boycott the Black Friday greed
I buy throughout the year and do a lot of online shopping. I find it sad that some people call getting in line at 4 am, then pushing and shoving their way inside the store to be their "holiday tradition".

4. I just buy whenever I find it convenient or apppealing to do so. I don't
care one way or the other if it's Black Friday or Don't Buy Anything Day.

7. black friday would be one of my versions of HELL
i'd like to say i can't imagine anything worse, but i've got a wicked imagination and i can imagine many worse things--

but to get up early, fight the crowds, wait in line, find parking places & get all whipped up into a frenzy over a fucking sweater or a hand towel set--ugh.

not my idea of fun, or a good time.

black friday tradition at my house: sleep in late.

9. I buy 3 rolls of stamps for three family members, and a small
Christmas ornament. I then give money to my volunteer fire department and our city council. My husband and I don't exchange big gifts, usually just a small item but this year I think I'm going to give him a gas grill, and that's it for moi. I gave up "shopping" years ago.....and giving stamps, and money to our small city units is fun and they really need it. Happy Holidays.

10. I tried black friday once & never ever again.
UGH. I've already done half my shopping and will finish up the rest mostly online-books, games and some fishing equipment for hubby. My biggest concern is finding a Christmas tree. Each year it seems to get harder and harder to find the perfect tall tree at a fair price. O8)
