Domination the cause of police brutality?
What is the difference between sadomasochism and authoritarian use of force by police? Not much. Look and Compare them..

S/M "protocol"for unruly slaves:
http://www.answers.com/topic/discipline-bdsm
Violet wands are electrical devices that can cause burns.
http://www.the-iron-gate.com/essays/3/89
Dehumanization for "obedience"
http://www.the-iron-gate.com/essays/1/101

Read the Police "protocol" for when to use violence on unruly civilians:
http://pdfdl.oceighty.net/pdf2html.php?url=http://www.ohsu.edu/pubsafety/pages/../proto/proto_useforce.pdf
This manuel is very similar read to the offerings about controlling' slaves in a S/M"scene". To me police protocol looks like S/M spoken in "clinical language" because the master slave mentality is still there. Just compare S/M to state authority games, with the S/M stuff and all the justification for abuse, dehumanizing and even torture aspects are there, So the power trip and the potential high is still there..

For Instance something stupid..:Language rules...

From the S/M site: http://www.the-iron-gate.com
"Some general examples of disrespectful language…
Some Owners restrict the word "No."
Not using appropriate titles may also be view as disrespectful.
Phrases such as "Yeah…", "Whatever…", "Bite Me…", "Ah huh…", and "Yup…" can also be viewed as disrespectful.
Whining, grumbling, mumbling and raising ones voice is also considered disrespectful."

Ever hear of"disrespecting an officer? You could get arrested for talking in a way so a cop gets offended.

Coikidink? Or unseen power trip? Apparently citizens(especially female) who are abused in domestic violence situations and the cops are there, better not show their anger, fear or speak in a disrespecting manner to the cop..
(Could it be a domestic call might feel too much like an S/M scene for the cop to have his better judgment intact to bother to help you? Because he's getting off on it?)

Wonder how much of this kind of shit goes on?

If you read between the lines about how a dominator or authority figure is supposed to subdue someone else.. It's all the same game. You will see a clear parallel between S/M and state force. And you can easily see how a sadist cop could turn a citizen situation(often cop caused) into a "scene" in which the cop can act out his sadistic urge addiction on a "non compliant" Citizen. Not much difference between the blue wall of silence and the Leather curtain as far as I can tell.At least a curtain you can walk through to get out.

By "non compliant" is it a citizen who resists authority, resists dehumanizing, and resists being forced to submit? Is this person outraged over having his rights trampled or is he asking for the cop to use force..That dominator mentality blurs the line and that bad mentality from the dungeon is there in the "protocols" of both S/M and police work. Resistance to a cop is taught to be a sign of a disregard to authority/master.
It could be many things like fear, mistrust anger, a act of self respect, defending ones rights, but why does the cop see this as disrespect to authority as first guess?

Coincidence? Nope.
http://www.the-iron-gate.com/leaders.php

This authority game the state plays with every citizen is almost like a background power "scene". Why else do we tolerate the shit we do,from the state.. like standing in line for stickers at the DMV all day?

This master slave society we live in already makes it so easy for the sadist cop to assume citizen resistance and citizen outrage when their rights are violated in the minds of authoritarians as a citizen/slave consent to be hassled more.

How much pushing of boundaries does it take for an authoritarian power addicted cop to see citizen resistance as their "needing" to be "displined"/tortured?...until the citizen submits to him?

Not much difference really just watch what happens when cops attack peaceful protesters like they've been secretly fantasizing about cracking heads all year. This game can get ugly as in Nazi germany/Abu Gharib/Stanford prison Experiment ugly.

Especially IF these addicts are not made accountable by law and bystanders interventions and these authoritarians are not made to realize all people are NOT automatically part of their "scenes".

Bush's redefining torture is a way to redefine what consent and harm is and remove limits on what sadists can get away with doing.. He wants to make America A big DUNGEON of scenes with NO limits...Basically hell on Earth if you do not share an addiction to pain or domination.

How many police brutality situations are S/M scenes that got"out of control?" One can wonder ..considering S/M scenes that get out of control can lead to masochists with broken bones, severe burns, cuts and other injuries and possibly even death if the sadist loses control of them-self,or the 'scene' and yes it happens people get hurt more than they wanted to be.

That is an ugly thing the "leather" community doesn't want to talk about to outsiders as well as the issue of adult childhood abuse victims and the potential of sadists inflicting retraumatization on them..that can trigger and make them suicidal or in danger when they get home and they find they can't cope with the triggers.

And this whole issue is very complex and very troubling since this sort of behavior with pain or domination/power trip also releases endorphins in the brains of the participants like opiates do,(this is WHY S/M is done) and so this sort of "game" can be like a drug, become a real addiction. The effects of S&M on body chemistry probably reinforce the behavior and therefore create psychological states that seek to further such behavior.
An addicts perceptions of judgment and cause distortions in ethical behavior wanting a fix or when they are high can get very distorted.Just sit in on any AA or NA meeting and listen.

Could an addiction to the brain high of domination in some law enforcement or other areas like politics lead them to not only take their scenes in their heads, out, but go further and take it out of the S/M dungeon and act it out onto non consenting citizens because the dungeons limits are not getting them the rush anymore because slaves they are consenting to it by contract so, can say NO,and Stop.

So could sadists who can no longer get off with limits on them,go into jobs where they can get away with it,like psychiatric staff and police..Go to professions where they could theoretically get away with torturing people in a non consenting no limit way they couldn't do in a consenting S/M situation??

I ask this because sometimes an addict gets desensitized to a drug so he has to up the dosage to get the high. What can a sadist do when dungeon protocol limits prevent him from getting off? Does the sadist go outside the dungeon to prey on people, especially vulnerable people who are discounted by society, like disabled and the mentally ill, marginalized or powerless populations like gays or women as in domestic abuse??
Could this be happening in some cases? I think so.

Where "scenes" got out of hand in police altercations.
A whole archive of them.

1. They are just a" gang"
The frightened publics gang.
Got their colors, got their hand signs. Deeply involeved in crime and corrutption and the murder of 93 year old grannies. I don't want their dubious protection....

2. you've got to be kidding
you want to compare kinky sex, where the people playing the games have often spent years finding like-minded people to play with, to out-of-control cops wrongfully abusing suspects?

How many police brutality situations are S/M scenes that got"out of control?"

i would say it's safe to say that you could search the literature for years and not even find one such case, prisoners are not playing s/m games with brutal cops, this is real life

in the s/m community it is a game with the masochist's pleasure and fantasy the first priority -- this is why so often the "top" has to be paid, because she is doing a job, servicing the needs of the masochist -- in many communities there are not enough "tops" to go around because you know what? it's a lot of work setting up a scene that satisfies someone's fantasy yet keeping it safe for all concerned

completely different situation from police brutality, no one is looking to be brutalized by a police officer, that's utterly ridiculous
