Dead Spy's Father calls poison 'a tiny nuclear bomb' !
Real Mission Impossible stuff here.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6180068.stm

After Mr Goldfarb had read out the statement, Mr Litvinenko's elderly father, Walter - who flew to the UK from Russia this week - said his son had been killed by a "tiny nuclear bomb".

"It was an excruciating death, he was taking it as a real man," he said.

"Even before his death, in such a state, he never lost his human dignity."

Mr Litvinenko had recently been investigating the murder of his friend, Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya, another critic of the Putin government.

Russian dissident Oleg Gordievsky, a former KGB colonel and friend of Mr Litvinenko, maintained that the poisoning had been the work of the Russians.

The Russian security service had "sent a man with a poisonous pill to Britain", put a pill into Mr Litvinenko's tea and killed him, he told BBC News.

If you think don't think a shadowy world of international crimnal syndicates and state-sponsored killing exists - think again.

1. But, but ...
This sounds like it leads back to Putin ... but, but the Chimp looked into his eyes ...

i can imagine that the Chimp is feeling quite jealous that he can't do this (at least not quite so openly)

3. I hear you
It is disturbing (of course, that these hideous crimes are committed) that this is being done so openly. Criticize Putin and die ... this is so troubling.

5. "Criticize Putin and die."
Could it really be that simple?

11. Unfortunately ...
It probably isn't much more complicated than that.

These people (the murdered vocal critics) had a public forum and had investigated the actions of Putin. I would admit that there is a little more to it than mumbling "i hate putin" at a meeting-----but , not much more

8. You should see the shit going on in Russia...

it's like right after WWI when the Allies crushed the German economy in hope they wouldn't rebuild and reconquer.

We should have learned our history, but unfortunately we didn't and here we sit repeating it. I have a feeling what is to come from Russia is going to be far worse than the Soviets ever dreamed of.

*They have hate groups, they are just like the Nazis, and they pick on (or kill) anyone who's not ethnically Russian.

Putin isn't the one who'll do it, he just wants to go back to the USSR, just like Hindenburg wanted to go back to the times of the Kaiser.

They both didn't/don't realize the door they opened.

10. You can thank the IMF and international bankers for sucking Russia dry
Dozens of state-run enterprises were put on sale after the Communist Party was dethroned. Gorbachev's market socialism reforms fell victim to nationalist uprisings across Russia and the Eastern Bloc, so using that as an excuse to discredit market socialism as an answer to a statist command economy, outside interests then conveniently offered up a new idea: Privatization of everything. Firms worth several billion were often sold for pennies on the dollar in rigged auctions. The profit margins were enormous, and most of the profit went out of the country to their bank accounts in places like Switzerland instead of being reinvested in the already weak Russian economy abused by years of taking a backseat to the Russian war machine. These bankers and industrialists were the new owners, and they didn't feel they owed anything to the Russian people.

If you want to become a wealthy quickly, you buy up when somebody falls down. Communist tyranny was replaced by monopoly capitalist deprivation instead.
