Donald Trump calls Condi a bitch

The Donald fires off on Rummy, Rice

Donald Trump sounded like he would fire Secretary of State Rice if he got the chance - calling her a "b----" last night during a speech in front of 8,000 people at the Javits Center.

Trump, star of "The Apprentice" and a frequent critic of the Bush administration, unleashed his anger at Rice and outgoing Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld during a keynote address at the Learning Annex Real Estate & Wealth Expo.

"Condoleezza Rice, she's a lovely woman, but I think she's a b----," Trump said to wild applause. "She goes around to other countries and other nations, negotiates with their leaders, comes back and nothing ever happens."

Sounding more like a presidential candidate than a real estate mogul, Trump then set his sights on Rumsfeld.

"You look at Rumsfeld and we spend $900 million a year, and arms and legs and lives are wasted," Trump said. "You look at all this and you ask what kind of government is this?"

Trump said he didn't attend last night's event to bash the White House, but added, "If you don't have smart people running the government, then good entrepreneurship will get you nowhere."

Trump's comments were met mainly with cheers, but not everyone in the audience agreed with The Donald's harsh assessment of Rice, whose spokesman could not be reached last night.

"It sounds like he's running for president," said Steve Felt, 39, of Maple Shade, N.J. "I was expecting the speech to be about how to get wealthy. I didn't expect a conservative like Trump to talk poorly about a conservative government."

52. Trump isn't a conservative......
though he is a Republican. But he contributes across political lines, sometimes to quite liberal Democrats. Some of his political contributions include: DCCC ($20,000), Carolyn Mahoney (Dem, NY), Menendez (NJ), Charlie Rangel, Harold Ford, Patrick Kennedy, Frank Lautenberg, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Shumer, Tom Daschle, Ted Kennedy, Chris Dodd, Bob Kerrey, George Mitchell, Jimmy Carter, John Kerry (Sen race), Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Moynihan, and the DNC (more than he gave the Republicans at the same time).

Some ickier donations were to Shrub, McCain, Foley, Orrin Hatch, Lieberman, D'Amato, Lott, & Macaca Allen.

He's actually given almost $100,000 more to Dems than Rethugs over time.

89. Well, I guess if I took money from lots of people, then filed for bankruptcy multiple times,
then got other people to give MILLIONS more, and then have the "loans" constantly rearragned to my benefit witout ever repaying a cent, then I could give millions to those I deem worthy too!

He's a con man at best - and us "little" people would never be given the breaks he has gotten.

He's scum - and I'm being kind....

Not only bankrupt the economy as he did his own (twice) but still come out all nice and suave and the type to put more money into.

Okay, that's cool.

85. Let's just call Democrats "fiscal conservatives" & Republicans "fiscal liberals" and be done with it
Edited on Sat Nov-25-06 04:19 PM by w4rma
The neo-cons/corporatists/neo-liberals/American Republicans are economic liberals everywhere in the world but the U.S. Let's just start calling them what they are: fiscal liberals and social conservatives.

And we should call ourselves fiscal conservatives and social liberals.

Because this is exactly the appropriate description.

neo-cons/neo-liberals want more 'freedom' in economics: less regulations, no minimum wage, no labor laws, no environmental protections

liberals/progressives/true conservatives want less 'freedom' in economics: more regulations, more wage and job protection, stronger and tougher labor laws, more protections for the environment.

So, Democrats should just grab the label and run with it. It's ours if we want it. It's the appropriate description.

The ones that can get over their obsession with controlling the private lives of others and with forcing their own specific religious ideals onto everyone else could make great Democrats.

84. It's very hard to find a politically correct...
pejorative term that everyone understands.
By definition a pejorative term isn't SUPPOSED to be polite.

Granted, 'bitch' is offensive...but when somebody is referred to as a 'bitch' or a 'sonofabitch' (I'm being as evenhanded as possible here) some people are offended and ticked off...
but EVERYBODY knows what it means.

Calling a woman a 'termagent' or a man a 'poltroon' may satisfy the demands of political correctness...but it will leave the majority of your listeners saying :wtf:

Condi was incompetent as our National Security Advisor and has been nothing but a cheerleader whose loyalty remains to Bush instead of her country as Secretary of State. She's a nationalist - my president, right or wrong, with no regard for our Constitution.
But that doesn't make her a bitch. And he was wrong to call her that in front of an audience.

and unfortunately fed an ugly stereotype about women -- shoe shopping while people were dying. The Marie Antoinette syndrome. You have a point.
I'm sensitive to the "bitch" label, though. Because so many people apply it to Hillary - but when you ask them why, they really don't have a reason.
Odd that HIllary bears the brunt of behavior actually exhibited by rightwing women like Lynn Cheney, Condi, and Coulter.

12. Donald Trump, a conservative? Not hardly!
Check out his history of public statements on government -- he's a liberal Democrat, was a liberal Democrat through the "Greed-Is-Good" 1980s, and has been consistently critical of Team Bush.

He says he's tried to stay out of the political "conversation", but even in his books, he promotes that gol-durn libbrul agenda.

So he's rich. As we've found out, income is no predictor of intelligence either way. I know that many DUers can't stand him, but better "one of us" than one of the neo-Vandals.

73. The only 'side' Trump is on is his own. Wealth for wealth's sake.
"How to become wealthy"?

The way the Donald did it was by being born to a very affluent father, a father who could afford to send "the Donald" to Whoreton Business School and then employ him and keep him out of the draft.

Sperm lottery.

Trump then displays his sole criteria for employing others: "Make *ME* wealthier!" In other words, his employees get compensated less than about 1/4th of what they're worth to "the Donald."

His "failing up" strategy in the 80s and 90s was propped up with government entitlements (taxpayer subsidies) in the form of special tax exemptions and contrived bankruptcies unavailable to any working person.

He's a product of privilege and entitlement. If he were born in a blue-collar family, he'd probably be a bartender ... and a drunk.

I've never heard anyone refer to Condi as lovely in any way, shape or form. Until now.

38. Who says Trump is a conservative, Mr. Maple Shade?
What, you guys think no one with money can be liberal? Tell that to Bill Gates, George Soros, Andrew Carnegie, Jack Kennedy, and that incognito gala favorite, Mr. The List Goes On...

41. I don't care much for Trump
but he hit them right in the chops this time. Condi may be one, but actually saying it is not too professional of the boss man.

"Your Fired" b*tch and b*stard.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

43. That settles it: Donald Trump is not a gentleman.
I've called her many things--all of 'em bad--but I'd never call a woman a bitch. The Donald needs to wash his mouth out with soap and find a way to criticize this terrible regime without being a cad.

whatsoever. She is what George Bush wanted her to be. Obedient. And as such, no one can trust what comes out of her mouth.

49. The nice thing about someone who's not in politics...
...is that he can tell it like it is, without softsoaping the comments or pulling his punches. I know it's not a popular opinion around here, but I've always kinda liked The Donald, and I'm a big fan of the show. Good for him, for speaking out!

"lovely woman" to be followed by "bitch", but anytime anyone in the media's radar puts out the negatives on the Bush cabal in a public forum it's all good. Thanks, Donald.

78. Trump has been on my sh*t list ever since he pissed on Randal's victory
last season. The first black man to win the show and he asks him to share the title with a novice. LOL... But I digress...

Trump has said several racist things in the past, so forgive me if I'm not rushing to applaud him for calling a black woman a bitch. That being said, Condi is extremely incompetent and misguided. Yet, when you take it to the next level by calling a woman a bitch/ho/etc., please have a glaring example of why this is true, otherwise it's just sexist BS. His statement would have been acceptable had he just left the "lovely woman" and "bitch" parts out.

He was right on about Rumsfeld though!

93. I KNOW I can be a bitch, and have been during a number of given
times and circumstances in my life. But I would like to think that I wouldn't go shoe shopping and symbolically give the finger to my country when thousands of americans were screaming and dying for help from their government and the top people in charge who represented them.

I think bitch is much too kind a word in this case. I would call her negligent, and certainly a derelict, since she was derelict in her appointed duties. But bitch?...nah. A bitch would have gone to NOLA and waded waist deep in the mud, saved the old lady in the wheelchair and the dehydrated baby, and then cold-cocked the asshole stealing the television with the pointed toe of her new Manolo's.
