12. Fox forgot to say: It's proof that everyone's happy the Democrats won
the House and the Senate.

Everything's finally looking up.

7. If you're going to vote, you might want to

go there on your own, not via the link above. Allegedly, there have been times that news sites have blocked people who linked there directly from DU. And that included the "liberal" media!

(But thanks for the link, Don_1967!)

14. The media talked about it during the primaries, or maybe it

was the debates. Of course, they never talked about Free Republic, where posters regularly encouraged each other to vote multiple times by clearing their cookies after each vote. At DU we have always believed in voting only once. Just like in elections. We have this crazy idea about fairness, you know? ;-)

10. Nothing says strong economy like
waiting in long lines for hours in bad weather for the opportunity to save a few dollars. I went shopping today and overheard a man tell a cashier that he buys all his work clothes this time of year so he can afford "professional" looking stuff.

11. The shelter I volunteered at yesterday was full too.
Guess what that proves? Hunger, I mean food insecurity, is strong too.

16. That the parking lots are full on a day when prices are slashed 75%
may indicate that people can't afford the regular prices.

18. I agree
There were gigantic lines for products, that started very early in the morning in the Soviet Union. Proof that their economy was running strong.

22. I think it proves people are insane.
Why would anyone want to get up at 4 a.m. on their day off to shop?? To fight throngs of people in the parking lot and in the store to get something for 50 cents off.

There's ebay for saving and one doesn't have to leave the comfort of one's living room/den/bedroom!

I got up early to drive to Atlanta to see The Who, but, damnit, that's Pete Townshend - not some cheap gold lame' suit marked down from $200 to $50! Although, Pete has been known to WEAR gold lame' suits.
