1. cheney will resign for health reasons and soon
six months after calling for "nonpartisan government" bush will continue to be the most divisive, partisan and mean-spirited president. it won't help that Jeb or Condi as his VP begin to realize that he is certifiably insane. And then, he resigns, takes his seal of the presidency toys, and runs away.

It won't be Pelosi but someone far, far worse.

2. Cheney & Bush will have very public blame fight, trying to force
each other to resign. Cheney will back a draft and call to bomb Syria and Iran. He doesn't care what anyone thinks and will not quit unless his electronic chip fails. While Bush may just walk away and resign. He has walked away from everything he ever started.

4. No. He'll be 'martyred,' probably about mid-2008.
It's to the advantage of the extreme right to do so, while having him as an 'ex-pResident' makes him a loose cannon.

7. Then don't do it.
You obviously can't read, either.

5. Other.
I think he may well not finish his term. He seems to have a history of walking away from things.

Keep in mind that back in the summer of 2001 there were many rumors out there that he was bored and irritated and was considering resigning. There were various complicated scenarios out there involving Cheney's own resignation before hand. All of which has been completely forgotten in the aftermath of the events of September 11th that year.

So it seems to me that with Democrats now in control of both houses of Congress, he may well find a way to "retire". Not that I'm about to predict it with any confidence, but I think it's distinctly possible.

11. Yes because there is no true opposition party.

The Republicans will impeach a Democratic president just because he gets a blowjob, yet the Democrats won't even talk about impeachment after a Republican president starts an illegal war, shows incompetence in fighting the 9/11 terrorists, outs a CIA agent, uses his contacts to subdue votes, gives Halliburton nobid contracts, allows torture and much much more.
