How I forsee how the Conservative version of the Daily Show will go...
Host: "Look at Nancy Pelosi, her um... San Francisco Values um... really mess up Congress!"

Host: "Rush Limbaugh got busted for having drugs again... so um... let's all pray that he makes a quick recovery from his addiction!"

Special Report (The God Minute): "Did you know that God is a Republican and that voting for the Democrat party is a sin, it's true!"

Host (FINALLY making fun of Bush): "Seriously though, Bush got the US nuked, but it's still Bill Clinton's fault!" (or maybe not)

It will be a live-action Mallard Fillmore strip.
Unimaginative and profoundly unfunny.

3. Possibly, but Bruce Tinsley is a special breed of loser.

He's a frustrated, bitter jackass with limited vision. Other rightwing cartoonists are not nearly so limited or dull.

1. If it is like that it should be pretty funny to watch
It'll also be great fodder for the real Daily Show.

2. Tucker Carlson or Dennis Miller could host such a program,
... and it wouldn't be like the one described in the OP. Political humor is funny depending on whether or not it's your ox getting gored.

One thing is a certainty -- we can expect ZERO humor at the expense of the Republicans. The clientele would not tolerate it.

5. there's no way possible for their show to be funny
If anything, it would be funny in a pathetic/sad way. "Jokes" similar to what Limbaugh made about Michael J. Fox... Or "macaca" style, racist attacks. Grown wo/men acting like children and schoolyard bullies... I can't imagine their show doing anything except bringing out the worst in people.

7. The key difference between Conservative and Liberal humor:
Liberal humor speaks truth to power.

Conservative humor ridicules the powerless.

8. Oh there will be a bunch of diatribe about latte liberals,
headband liberals, shrimp cocktail liberals ad nauseum. None of it will be funny because everyone will be sitting back and saying, huh?

Every Limbaugh, Hannity and Coulter name calling of liberals by the adjective before it have no basis in truth so really there is nothing to make fun of.

However, I'm counting on John Stewart, Bill Maher and Stephanie Miller to pan pure gold here for their humor. It's going to make their shows even more popular.

10. Only Colbert can make that stuff funny.
And I had to adjust to the genre a bit first.
