Frontline on PBS - "The Lost Year In Iraq" - About Bremer
and how he fucked up the first year in Iraq. Missed the first 10 mins but it's pretty good so far.

1. It is outstanding. What til you hear about the frat brothers,
recent grads, in charge of a piece of the Coalition Rebuilding of Iraq. It's enough to make you gag, what Bushie and the Boys have done to this poor country.

5. Well they were from the Heritage Foundation
It's good to see things like this on the MSM. A little at a time the word is getting out.

3. He and Rummy.
Not enough of our troops. Disbanded the Iraqi army and de-Baathized the existing government, secured only the things we were interested in (the oil fields). More interested in getting as much money into the war profiteers hands than in getting every Iraqi employed again and busy rebuilding rather than destroying.

4. Oh and don't forget making it into a NeoCon paradise
with total deregulation of business, no unions, no import/export tariffs. Behold Iraq! I just wish Perle, Wolfie, Rummie, Bush et all would have to go live there in their Conservative Paradise.

7. They failed to secure the oil fields, too.
The pipelines have been blown to bits so regularly and in so many places, didn't we just read that Turkey now considers them a dead loss (or is it just one pipeline in lots of little pieces?)

6. As Soon As I Heard That Bremer Worked At Kissinger's Firm
I knew that all was lost. Kissinger is brilliant, and fascinating to listen to - and always utterly wrong.

8. If every person in the US could see just this show and the Bill Moyers Abramoff
"expose", it'd be a new ballgame.
PBS is just fabulous. Fearless and fabulous.

9. They've been under attack lately but..
Frontline and Nova still come through sometime with some incredible stuff. Hopefully the new Congress can de-politicize the management of PBS again.

Some people's "left wing media" is another person's investigative journalism.
