The RW is spending billions killing anti-abortionists....
Here is a list of countries and their laws on abortion:
http://www.pregnantpause.org/lex/world02.htm

So here we are in Afghanistan and Iraq killing loads of people who agree with the RW on their two big platforms (abortion and gay rights).

And the fundies are backing this.

So they are out there shooting up and blowing up people all over the place that hold the same core values they do (ie, strict moral codes you force others to live by) because they are afraid those people want to kill us and institute the same laws here that they themselves want to have here.

The only difference past the core issues is which deity you want to say is telling you to do this (and again, if they were not fundie assholes they would see that God gave us all freedom and we should not pass laws restricting that which god gave us).

They keep telling us that folks hate us for our freedoms here, and I keep thinking to myself...the RW hates us for our freedoms.

Man are those people dumb.

1. they have no trouble being allied with these nations at the United Nations
when things like abortion and gay rights are discussed.

it's nations like Canada, UK, France, Japan etc against Iran, Libya, United States.

2. That's right
Some of these countries are pretty close to thinking along the same lines on right-wingers.

3. Think of all the abortions which take place in China every year.
Yet all the fundies happily shop at Wal-Mart and don't consider for one moment that they are supporting a country which not only allows abortion on demand, but, I daresay, demands that abortions be performed against the parent(s)' wishes sometimes.

But hey, it's okay if life is cheap, as long as products stay cheap. :eyes:

I don't shop at Wal-Mart because they treat their employees like they own them, not like they've hired them. And for many other reasons too numerous to list.

Thanks for the link.

4. that's because ban on abortion usually is about wanting to control woman
rather than actually being against abortion.

that's why you often here the anti choice people say something like "if she kept her legs closed" and other degrading things.

if they really cared about stopping abortions they would do things like more funding for women's care, especially during pregnancy. funding for children's care. maybe fund daycare so women, especially single women can work.

5. If they only pushed for more birth control,
there would be fewer abortions. Put the emphasis on both sexes being responsible for birth control. The religious riechstag need to do more to push birth control than saying to a woman, "Close your legs."
