Here's how to get out of Iraq:
1. Have Saudi Arabia and various other Moslem countries denounce the Moslem on Moslem violence in Dafur.

2. Have above countries request US aid in protecting the Moslems of Dafur.

3. Transfer all the troops from Iraq to Dafur in an emergency response.

4. Quietly send troops home until we have reduced the force to the number actually needed to protect Dafur.

4. This leaves us with troops in Dafur, true, but at least we'd be defending people would really do need and want our help and it would be a different style of fighting. We'd be defending villages and small cities from militia raids as opposed from seeking out guerrilla fighters.

1. What would stop Bush from using "Shock And Awe" on the people of Darfur?

And then we are right back where we started.

This reminds me of a story about a King who had problems with mice once upon a time.

3. I think it is a good idea
and it makes sense that we send troops to a place that is in genuine need. I would add that Muslim nations might be called to mitigate a peace agreement amongst those in Iraq.

5. why perform any such machinations-- the war against Iraq is a crime....
We shouldn't need to make excuses or seek political cover to stop committing crimes against humanity.
