The 'christian' Right's Assault on Labor Unions and Workers
From Jerry Falwell:
"Labor unions should study and read the Bible instead of asking for more money. When people get right with God, they are better workers."
"I think we ought to take the shackles off business and get rid of outfits like OSHA."

From Tim Lahaye:
"Unions are one of the organizations leading the world to wickedness."

From the Christian Coalition:
"Christians have a responsibility to submit to the authority of their employers since they are designated as part of God’s plan for the exercise of authority on the earth by man."

1. Isn't it incredibly telling
that all the christian right does is assault people or organizations or segments of society?

2. No real surprise here
Even Holy Mother The Church thinks labor unions are great until they need to negotiate with one. Then suddenly it's about service to the Almighty ($$$$). They are simply liars and thieves.

3. The Bible (King James version) also says for slaves
to honor their slave owners. So let's get real. Fundamentalist need to butt out of other people's lives.

4. What did Christ say to the man that approached him and asked
Edited on Sun Nov-26-06 03:48 PM by Stargazer99
"Master, who do I believe, they say lo here and lo there". Christ's reply was to look at the fruits. and to worship mammon (like the fundies are advising)instead of loving and honoring being human tells it all. Calvinsim is lacking the first rule of Jesus "to love one another". Business is about as compassionate as a coiled rattle snake especially large corporations. These fundies are going against what Christ taught and have the nerve to believe they are moral. They are so brain-washed I doubt they can put two and two together.

6. I've got news for the Fundies
Satan runs this place (your Bible tells you that), those principles of Satan are the authority as man can be manipulated through his greed and self-ishness which has no part of God's plan for man.

7. Should CEO's "get right with God", and not ask "for more money"?

8. Ya, take the shackles off of business and see what happens
Pollution would probably be more rampant than it is today. Didn't God tell you to take care of His creation? How many more people would die and be maimed and you Fundies call that following God? The Good Book tells us not to throw pearls before swine. Allowing practices that kill and maim workers is just that. As you have done unto the least of these you have done unto Me....get it?
