http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/nation/11/26/26soldierstress.htmlMilitary personal on multiple and extended tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan are being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder at rates that probably will match or exceed the rate among Vietnam veterans, government officials and veterans groups say.
The war in Iraq , with often-hidden enemies and explosives, has left service members particularly vulnerable to combat stress and is driving the abuse of drugs and alcohol both in Iraq and at home, military health experts say.
Yet many veterans and on-duty troops are not getting the treatment they need.
Ok my words here on this subject. Many have read my post before on these issues. So here is some insight of why I am make sure everyone knows why I do this. Many of you do not recall how bad it got after Vietnam for veterans. These untreated personal will be on your streets. Without treatment they will be a danger to you and the Country. Bush has broken these peoples minds. We must as a nation step up and fix what the Republicans have broke for all of our sakes. Democrats made this vet a promise that if I put my vets out they would help fix this problem. I know they will try but guys you need to be aware of this problem so maybe you can help. That is just this old vets opinion
