Stress Disorders, Drug Abuse means Little help for Troops

Military personal on multiple and extended tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan are being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder at rates that probably will match or exceed the rate among Vietnam veterans, government officials and veterans groups say.

The war in Iraq , with often-hidden enemies and explosives, has left service members particularly vulnerable to combat stress and is driving the abuse of drugs and alcohol both in Iraq and at home, military health experts say.

Yet many veterans and on-duty troops are not getting the treatment they need.

Ok my words here on this subject. Many have read my post before on these issues. So here is some insight of why I am make sure everyone knows why I do this. Many of you do not recall how bad it got after Vietnam for veterans. These untreated personal will be on your streets. Without treatment they will be a danger to you and the Country. Bush has broken these peoples minds. We must as a nation step up and fix what the Republicans have broke for all of our sakes. Democrats made this vet a promise that if I put my vets out they would help fix this problem. I know they will try but guys you need to be aware of this problem so maybe you can help.That is just this old vets opinion

1. The ugle truth is that our combat soldiers are cannon fodder

The medical assistance to those "shell shocked" as the 2nd World War put it have damn little help and I'm talking about the common footsoldier not those of you with higher rank. Being sent to Iraq without body armor and your family having to pay for it if you could afford it. God help the poor who could not pay for boday armor. You Fundies that value life so much (pro-lifers)where in hell were you when this happened? Apparently, you don't mind killing full grown people because I didn't hear the same whine out of your bunch for the soldier who protecting your a** as I heard about abortion. My ancestors would say you speak with a forked tongue. One of our esteemed leaders said years ago that the soldier was a fool. The rot and the stench comes right from the top and you Fundies, especailly you Calvinist support the "master of the earth (Satan)by supporting the administration. The fraud, greed and moral depravity by the administration even when it is shoved in your face where you cannot deny it doesn't seem to register. Fruits remember? Satan loves killing and war...your fruits are self-evident.

It took a Democratic Senator from Washington, Patty Murray to shame the congress in preserving VA funds from the White House. Where are you freepers, dittoheads, chickenhawks and Yellow Elephants, these brave men need you.
