What's up with the airport today?

Plenty of parking at Tampa airport, only one security line open for Delta, but really no wait, less people I ever remember, and I fly just about every Sunday afternoon.

This is Thanksgiving weekend, isn't it?

1. Security wait time at Denver Intermational Airport is 5 mins...

This should be the day everyone goes home. Hmmm. I blame the economy. $400+ to fly for pleasure? Heck I'll drive.

What was all that crap I read in the corporate media about heavy travel on Wednesday?

3. I don't know. I did ask a Delta person and they said their

flights were mostly full today and not so much yeseterday. Atlanta was about normal, but nothing like the madhouse I remember on past Thanksgiving weekends. Tampa was really dead, far less traffic than just a usual Sunday. By the time I got into Dulles, it was to late to guage the traffic.
