"Islam is evil, so......what?"
Again and again the conservative talking heads repeat their message, like a mantra: "When is the media going to stop being so PC? It ain't just about a wave of extremists, the religion itself is evil! Evil, I tells ya! The Koran is all about hate and violence! Muslims and Arabs are all killers! When is our society going to wake up, and...and...."

And that's usually where the argument stops, oddly enough. Have you noticed?

They always seem on the verge of saying something else, but then quickly hush up and blame it all on the liberals. But in their heart of hearts, you just KNOW they're dying to say something like: "We should make Christianity mandatory in this country!" or "Why don't we Just nuke the Middle East, every last man, women and child!" or even "Let's round up all the Muslims we find and put them into forced labor camps!" But they don't quite say these things, at least in the mainstream--'cause at the point the argument exceeds the limits of trendy political incorrectness and becomes outright facism, and even they are aware of how awful it sounds. But I really do believe people who make such open-ended statements in newspapers and interviews would like one or all of these things to happen. Of course, if we're talking about Abu Gharib or the Fred Phelps clan, these same people trot out their best "Don't judge the entire bushel by a few rotten apples" speech. But when it comes to Muslims, "they're all evil! All of them! Even the women and children and unborn fetuses! Something must be done!!!" Yeah, something!

And that something is?..."Oh, well I can't talk about THAT!" The PC police would jump all over me!" Wrong. What you REALLY fear is that people would hear what you really think, and they'd turn their backs on you rather than "Sig Heil" the Final Solution so many conservatives secretly wish would happen. Or at least I hope they would turn their backs. If "round 'em all up" ever becomes a mainstream talking point in our society, it's all over for America. Prove me wrong!

1. There must be an Enemy to Sacrifice to the "Greater Good".
Sick. Blood LUST. Death Idolators.

Genocide is what they want, although that might be wrong, because that'd solve "the Problem" and a bunch of these Merchants of Death and Destruction would be out of that business anyway and ready to start on another "enemy".

2. Communism is evil, so....what?
America will always need a Goldstein...to make billions in the 'national defense' industry. A bomb sitting in a warehouse is lost profit.

Better to drop it and make a new one! Cha-ching!

3. Extremist fundamentalism is the problem
You would like them to take that final step and quit insinuating and just straightforward say "kill them all" because then more people might turn away from them? I think this is what you are saying. I don't think they don't say this because of fear from the "PC police" but because they know how bad it sounds and how much support they would lose.

5. Exactly
But political correctness is what they always claim. "We can't say what we REALLY think about Islam cuz of the ACLU and Jessie Jackson, blah blah blah." Yeah, if you ever said what you really thought, your base would flee in horror.

4. Humans are EVIL. By now we should be use to it.
We always turn everything into self serving greed. Even Christianity has been made to serve our greed. It protects the wealthy by discouraging killing them for what they have. It encourages the poor to expect nothing in life so as to have more in death. The reason Communism, Muslim countries, capitalism and socialism fail is because of human nature. I do believe Democrats are a wee bit better than Republicans as long as they do not have absolute power.

6. You know, these fundies down here in Texas are really crazy.
I talk to neighbors and come away thinking those people are dangerous and are NEVER going to change because logic is just not part of their internal equation. They neither want nor plan to co-exist with the rest of us. Their only solutions are to proselytize us or kill us. So I suspect they will decide to shoot me before I am forced to defend or flee.

I try to keep from thinking that this is going to come down to a shoot-out at OK Corral, but they have a bloody history and seem to lust for the red to prove their faith stripes. They are all nuts!

Maybe global heat will kill them off while waiting for their rapture to take them away and the rest of us move north to survive. Or maybe the survival of humankind will depend on drawing lines in the desert sands and offing every last religious fundy of every persuasion. But if the latter, could we survivors still claim to be human?

8. Spanish Inquisition types, eh?
You might be worrying too much.

On the other hand, maybe not. I don't know.

If you're really worried...PM me.

7. Man-Coulter already did say it
And famously did show his true colors right after 9/11:

"We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity."

Here's another gem of his:

"Not all Muslims may be terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims."
