Ahmadinejad: Iran ready to help US in Iraq - if troops withdraw immediately
Edited on Mon Nov-27-06 01:12 AM by ECH1969
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday Iran was ready to help the United States and Britain in Iraq but only if they pledged to change their attitude and withdraw their troops. The remark comes amid growing calls for Washington to engage Iraq's neighbors, Iran and Syria, to help prevent Iraq plunging into civil war.

"The Iranian nation is ready to help you get out of that swamp on one condition ... you should pledge to correct your attitude," Ahmadinejad said in a televized speech to a parade of the Basij religious militia.

Ahmadinejad urged countries in the region to work together to expel foreign forces from their soil.

"Let us put our hands together and expel enemies who are against humanity from our countries and our sacred lands," Ahmadinejad said.

4. Why not...
We just have to leave Iraq, not our bases in the surrounding region. Give them Iraq and get the hell out of there, Russia new when it was time to quit. There is nothing to be gained in Iraq, so you better get out and make amends with those countries.

7. imagine the money we've spent in Iraq so far
had been going to develop alternative fuel sources. Imagine if we could free ourselves from our dependence on oil. Naive, perhaps, but I believe it's money better spent than the waste of the last 3 years.

8. We could have bought a solar panel
and a hybrid car for every American adult with that money instead and help save the environment in the process.
