We are not like the many robots on the right. We debate, we decry, we stir up the pot with the many views we all hold in attempt to make things better for our country.
Sure, we go down the media path and spend a lot of time and energy on threads that may at times be silly, while blowing off the 'important' threads. But I think I see some logic behind all that:
We agree on the main things, it's those other things that we squabble over - the strategy and direction.
We are NOT the rw. Our vision is a broader one and how we see things is much more wide and open.
We debate, we learn, we examine, we argue - because we care enough not to be suckered into one way or no way.
We fight for our sub ideals, always keeping in mind the larger ones. We look at ways to win, and debate them.
But when it is all said and done, we stand together for the cause - to defeat the imperialistic rw tyrants who want to rule the world by force.
The only thing I could ask for, the only thing I think many here ask for, is that we at least be civil to one another in our heated disagreements.
Instead of ridiculing someone, explain why you feel they are off base. Instead of one line gripes that attack a poster, give real reasons you think they are out of it (or link to a thread where it is already elucidated at).
Force yourself to explain why your idea is better, instead of relying on a rolling eyes emoticon to do it for you.
I have learned a lot from the debates and arguments here. More then I learned at 'other' sites.
So keep up the good work, keep up the fighting, because if nothing else - it shows others that you are not mind numbed robots following a mindless leader or agenda.
You have earned my respect, even if I think you are a crackpot and should be tossed into the abyss known as the 9/11 dungeon ;)
