From Latvia, the president heads to Amman, Jordan, for two days of talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Jordan was deemed a less dangerous setting for the meeting than Baghdad.

--------------------------------------------

Remember all those big showy trips bush made to Baghdad over the last few years? Serving turkey, boasting to the cheering troops, those were the days alright. He skipped serving turkey to the troops last week, no one made much of it, and now he is meeting with foreign dignitaries to discuss the ever worsening situation in Iraq, but alas, he can't even go to Baghdad to brag, it's too dangerous.

What a fucking spectacle, can't even get near Baghdad, not even the green zone, too many tortured bodies lying about I guess, too many bullets flying, bombs exploding, people dying, yet, he wants to continue it all and present it to the next president as a parting gift.

If there were any Twilight Zone justice in this world, bush would be right there on Main St. in beautiful downtown Baghdad, naked.

8. Now come on!
That's just mean. I'd chip in two bits. We could probably raise a dollar and a half, maybe even two bucks to ransom Mr. Bush. How much could someone dumb enough to kidnap Dubya possibly expect to get for him? They'd probably jump at the chance to unload him for two bucks. I know I certainly would.

2. It also says that the might of the vaunted US military cannot
protect him either. So much for the argument that we are turning things around there and should stay.

4. what's the official excuse?
Is the * admin adressing this issue?
I wonder if this could have anything to do with recent attacks on the US bases in Baghdad. This should be the headline on tv news, "Iraq so bad, that * can't even land there." So have they officially given up on Iraq yet? I feel bad for our soldiers who are babysitting this trainwreck and have not even been told that their lives are a waste by the admin who appears to now be ignoring the facts on the ground.

6. When Lyndon Johnson went to the First Viet Nam,
The White House announced it in advance. The Boy King has had to sneak into and out of his precious little Iraq Nam every damn time. And it's the Democrats who are supposed to be the cowards?
