Free XM ONLINE Two-Week Subscription
XM Satellite Radio is now offering a free two-week subscription to XM Radio Online when you use a special coupon code.
Normally the trial subscription is three days. Two weeks gives you time to really evaluate the service.

To access the free XM subscription, use the promo code "FREE2AIR14" when you register.
As always no credit card is required, just a valid email address.

(no, I don't work for XM, just giving the freebies as I can)

1. That was short lived
Took about 3 minutes to get signed up and activated.
Took another three minutes to discover no "Air America" is available online.

Oh well -

That's all I was looking for.

I was on a Air Tran flight last week that offered XM satellite radio.
The people sitting around me were wondering why I looked so happy.
Randi Rhodes at 37,000 feet!

It was WAY cool.

3. Still lots to listen to...
.. they don't have any talk station except the inhouse ones (XM202 and XMPR).

Still, give Special X-Mas a listen (XM107 I think) for a different view of christmas :)

2. Thanks!
I was thinking about getting the service with my new car and didn't know which to choose from (Sirius or XM).

4. Go Sirius dude, Way better taste in music
Atleast if you like Rock. The closest thing to shit rock I've heard on their their rock stations (other than the one that's supposed to play shit-rock, Hair Nation) is the occasional "Panic! at the Disco" song on Alt Nation or "Papa Roach" song on their "extreme" station, forget what it's called. Other than that, it's all gravy. No fuckin Nickelback, no fuckin "Hinder" and of course no Creed.

Basically 5 and a half GREAT classic Rock stations if you include half of Buzzsaws music and Little Stevens Underground Garage. First wave plays awesome 70's and 80's Alternative/proto-punk (lots of Bowie, REM, Smiths, Cure, etc).

Also they've got an Indie Rock station called "Left-of-Center" that has a great morning show hosted by Jake Fogelnest from Squirt TV, that you can listen to if you don't like Howard or when Howard is on Vacation/taking a break.

so, that's my quick off-the-top-of-my-head spiel.

Sirius also offers a free 3 day trial whenever you want, with most of the stations I just talked about (not stuff like Howard though)
