Dec. 18 is anniversary of bush's speech mocking "peace on earth"
Edited on Mon Nov-27-06 03:52 PM by Democrats_win
On Dec. 18, 2005, bush, warlord, trying to convince the American people to stay the course in Iraq, ended his speech with the last lines of Longfellow's "Christmas Bells:"

And we remember the words of the Christmas carol, written during the Civil War: "God is not dead, nor He sleep; the Wrong shall fail, the Right prevail, with peace on Earth, goodwill to men."

Notice that bush did not give Longfellow credit for this poem. In fact the previous verse of the poem tells exactly what bush is all about:

There is no peace on earth," I said;
"For hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!"

Did he really think we were that stupid to see his efforts as bringing peace to earth? Democrats already knew that this monster was trying to destroy everything good in America.

1. If Democrats already knew that this monster was trying to destroy everything good in America...
Why have they bent over backwards to kiss his ass for the last six years? Why have they done so damned little to stop him? Why the adamant refusal to get him removed from office for his blatant treason?

I don't expect any meaningful answers, but the questions have to be asked.

2. He knows we're not that stupid, but his loyal followers
really are that stupid! And they also don't know who Longfellow was. That's why Bush didn't give credit for his quote. Longfellow sounds like some hippie-Indian name to them.
