We are part of the end of the American dominance |

Look at world affairs and the US no longer rules. I suspect we ruled for a few years with the threat of our military but we haven't proved ourselves in battle. We played the international game and we lost. I can't see one international success.
My read on international politics is that it is all about threat and mirage. We had it and now we don't. I just don't see any one threatened by us.
We're out showing our stuff in Iraq and Afghanistan and it's not so great.

for stem cell research, for solving global warming, for finding alternatives for fossil fuels, and it's kind of sad.
Bush and his co-horts have raped the treasury and bankrupted the country and failed to lead us on any new scientific fronts whatsoever. We've moved backward, not forward.

Of course, that's going to require Americans taking the country back from the hyper-rich........
