Imus-Does NBC "Think This Is Going To Have" The Same Impact As Cronkite?
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/

This morning on radio and MSNBC, responding to NBC's decision to characterize Iraq as a "civil war," Don Imus said:

"He and Brian Williams and all those other nitwits and Griffin, they all sit around and they make this command decision, and Zucker and all of them, and maybe bring ol' Wright in there?"

More: "Do these nitwits at NBC News think this is going to have the impact of when Walter Cronkite came back in Vietnam and said we can't win, and Lyndon Johnson famously said 'well if we've lost Walter Cronkite, we've lost the country?'"

1. Does Imus think his saying this has any impact at all?
Yes, sadly he does. What if Don Imus spoke and anyone actually listened?

11. That a very interesting article, and I'm glad you posted it.
Maybe something good has come of all that effort!

He sure is a broadcasting nightmare. I watch his show for 1/2 on Fridays between 5:30 -- 6 AM while getting ready for my radio show. I'm glad he's off by 6 AM Pacific Time. I couldn't take him during drive time!

5. I used to watch him all of the time in the a.m. then he
started his "fantasizing" about how beautiful and wonderful Nora O'Donnell is and that did it for me. I also had to turn him off on Thursdays when his wife was on, and then turn him off again whenever that guy Bo Diezel (sp?) comes on. Who is that guy anyway, a mobster wannabe? and the kid.He used to be funny and still is only when Terry Bradshaw gets him going. MSNBC bends over backwards to make him happy, he disses them and the execs constantly on the air.

10. Does he still get his brother Fred on?
Haven't listened to him in years. While I can't take his self-centeredness, he can laugh all the way to the bank.

8. Yup

the sooner the better. I have trouble even looking at him ... there's something about his mannerisms that just creeps me out.

The bizarre thing is this self-important radio DJ is considered a legitimate source, and never seems to have a shortage of politicians willing to prop him and his self-deluded ego up. I guess any corner will do.

A DUer said it best:

"Imus look like someone who was buried and dug up."

LOL!
