Abeer was a girl. The twins are grown women.
Don't want to start an argument. I was just noticing how often they are referred to in diminutive terms, like they were still kids. Yet, the same press continued to identify a 14 year-old who was raped and murdered by our troops as a woman. The terms helps the press subliminally set up expectations. Girls are young and impetuous. Women are mature and responsible.
Just an observation.

6. As far as emotional development goes, they're still girls |
|
just as their Daddy is still a little boy. Maybe a stint in the military would make women out of them.
I'm not the press, and I have never identified that child rape victim as a woman, and never would.

9. Can't argue with that. |

I also wasn't trying to pick on you or accuse you of anything. Rather I was just making an observation. I had been thinking about it for a while and yours was the post I ended up using to express those thoughts.
I really didn't mean to imply anything about you.

7. Unfortunately a military stint "wouldn't be prudent"... |
|
...at least not in the Mideast. I say this not because I give rat's ass for the twinkies' well-being, but I care about the safety of the servicemen and women assigned to their unit. Every GI within a certain physical distance to these two would have a bullseye painted on their foreheads.
Just sayin'

and drop them via helicopter in the middle of Fallujah. That would keep them out of trouble and relieve us of any worries about a possible future succession. :P

3. I don't beleive that the twins would be deemed capable of buying property, etc. |
|
Esp. Jenna. I wouldn't think that they'd think those bubble-heads would even begin to know how to do much more than buy clothes....
