I had a long talk with my daughter who got out of the army after 9 years. She doesn't like ANY politicians, so is unbiased that way.

She told me about inadequate body armor, underfunding here, over funding there, paying civilians to do army jobs on and on. I don't speak "army" or military talk so It's difficult for me to pass on some of the things she was complaining about. She did say she can think of a dozen examples of mismanaged funds off the top of her head. I do remember when she was stationed in Afghanistan she told me we pay the country just "to be there" I forget how much.
The whole situation is beyond bad.
