I'm thinking it's about time to drag their fat asses (and I only say that because of the Fat Bastard Lee Raymond, a startling resemblance), in front of a DEMOCRATIC Panel and get them to SWEAR IN this time.

I would make this a top priority since ALL Americans are concerned about their Pocketbooks and the Price of Gas affect EVERYTHING, from Airplanes to Shipping and the produce getting to your local Store.

The Democrats will only LOOK GOOD for doing this, and who knows where it will lead (Cheney's Impeachment?)

To be honest, since the Repigs had been thinking they were IN for so long that they created Legal Means to subvert the Congressional Process, and have now handed those same laws over to the Dems. As in Waxman NOW having the ability to lay subpoenas on anyone he wants, and WITHOUT the vote of the Committe (sweet, eh?) :)

Frankly, I have a feeling that if we dig deep enough into these execs we might find evidence of them Cavorting with TERRORISTS, which would of course make THEM TERRORISTS, and SUBJECT to the Law. So we stick Lee Raymond in a cell with no food. In THREE days that guy would be talking like a Pirate's Parrot, telling us ALL HE KNOWS for a Cinnabun :)

It will be interesting to hear how their stories change, once they're under oath and subject to perjury charges.

14. Naw
Been working on a Book, and getting close to the first edit, and with a little Hollywood interest it might just save me from starving to death still swinging at the Bush admin on the way down :)

The mortgage is just about wiped, so I'll have to write a best seller I guess :)

Thanks for asking!

Have I told you that YOU ROCK today?

6. And what laws do you believe they have broken?

I produce oil and gas and I want to sell the oil and gas for higher prices, if I could do something to make the price higher I would. What laws are you wanting them to look at?

9. I believe they were colluding with Cheney to foment the Iraq War....
They provided aid and comfort to traitors who started a "war of aggression," violating all international laws and subverting the Constitution of the USA. How about that?

33. Well we can start with price fixing, conspiracy, about a thousand ant-trust laws,
fraud, aiding the enemy in a time of war (I think that falls under treason), sabotage, and collusion, are a good start.

37. Cartels are illegal in this country
Collusion to fix prices is a crime in this country, that is why the DeBeers group cannot operate here legally as they fix the world price for diamonds. (Or are still trying to, but failing).

To keep the price of your product high would you use money and political power to keep a competitor's product off of the world market by force of arms, therefore driving the price of your commodity up?

7. They are the key to nailing Chimpo and Cheney for Iraq War...
because that "Energy Task Force" was all about slicing up Iraq between the Republican patrons, the oil companies.

11. YES
that's my thought as well.. Spoils of war.

Remember the old saying, "Do you want a carpet of GOLD or a carpet of BOMBS?", the failed Pipeline and 40 million tossed to the Taleban, who Incidentally, at least according to Michael Moore's movie, VISITED TEXAS.

I'm just fascinated by the possibilities, there will be a LOT of unravelling, Cheney's Energy Commission, who he refused to give up, why not try the Back Door Method and just ask THESE ASSHOLES?

And don't forget even though they weren't Under Oath the last time, it's STILL a CRIME to lie to Congress, period.

18. This has been hugely on my mind lately! K&R & thanks, Symbolman.
The White House has refused to disclose contacts with industry representatives concerning the task force deliberations.

When Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., asked last week during a hearing on oil industry profits whether any of the companies' representatives had participated in the task force, four of the executives said they did not and the fifth said he did not know.

The Washington Post, citing White House documents, reported Wednesday that representatives from four of the companies had visited the White House complex and met with Cheney task force officials in early 2001.

Domenici, chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, said he sent a letter to the oil company executives seeking clarifications that would resolve any "apparent inconsistencies" in their testimony. He was joined in the letter by Bingaman, the energy panel's ranking Democrat.

Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., and five other Democrats asked Domenici to recall the executives and require them to testify under oath this time.

I think I know the answer to that. That rat bastard and his son have serious ties to big oil and drilling in Alaska. I believe his son's office is under Federal investigation in Alaska for some funny money business. Hmmmm. And Teddy did receive money from Abramoff. Double hmmmm.
