to fix up New Orleans. How much can 500 MILLION buy when it comes to roads and other infrastructure.

Either way that son of a bitch should not get away with raising this type of money for a fucking library in his name. He does not deserve it. He needs to pay restitution to this country and a good place to start is New Orleans.

Congress can make it so that people can not give money to him anonymously. That would help a lot.

1. He is a selfish bastard and he would never consider
giving money to help the country and it's citizens....

And it is kind of ironic to have a library dedicated to him when he scoffs education and has a distate of anything enlightening...

2. You're kidding! $500 million for a GWBu$h library????
$500 million to construct a building to house copies of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "The Pet Goat"?

5. Have you read Armed Madhouse by Greg Palast?
Edited on Mon Nov-27-06 11:40 PM by walldude
There is a story in there about the government purchasing 20 nuclear submarines at a cost of 2 BILLION per. The funny thing about it is that finally someone with a clue thought to ask why we were wasting money for submarines during a desert war. Well not to be defeated by anything as lame as logic, the manufacturer(I believe it was Lockheed) came up with a plan. For another 400 million per sub, they could retrofit them so they could... now I believe this is where Palast said "folks you can't even make up stuff this insane".. so they could stuff Marines into the torpedos and launch them onto the desert shore . Of course they got the go ahead, 24 billion dollars worth. 500 million for a library is pocket change to them, at least where the taxpayer is concerned.

16. From that link. "Citing budget pressures" Maybe we need to start are own pressuring.
Citing budget pressures, EPA has in recent weeks closed several of its libraries across the country, with their collections gathered in three large “repositories,” where the works sit un-catalogued and inaccessible both to EPA's scientists and to members of the public. EPA claims to be digitizing these collections in a page-by-page process that has no dedicated budget, timetable, over-arching plan or set of priorities.

13. Remember all of that lost money from the Pentagon and the Iraq CPA?
I really want to see a real accounting of this money. I want to know who is stupid enough to finance this joke to the tune of %MM and up....I think this is going to be used against this country. Seriously, $500MM for a library and think tank? doubtful.

found guilty of crimes?

There is no doubt that he has committed crimes. How can I say that? He has admitted to violations of the Constitution that's why.

... if he wants a "lie-berry" that badly.

I mean, it's not as if he has to pay room and board at the White House (plus he gets free transportation too).
