French residents of Deauville want a "certain quality" of visitor...
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 12:43 AM by originalpckelly
I just watched this on the BBC news on the local PBS station, and I was quite appalled. The woman in the report specifically said she mostly worried about the visitors to her town no longer being of a "certain quality."

I believe the certain quality she speaks of comes from stuffing a six foot pole up your ass. (Of course only the best poles will do, such as ones made by Prada and Armani.)

These rich people all around the world are so into themselves; while these people live in their uppity little worlds there are thousands dying in Iraq and Darfur.

SICK!

(This is a story I found on the BBC website which talks about this. I'm looking for the specific video.)

Here is the report:

4. No, it's about class
and 'breeding'. The brash, crass 'nouveau riche' are what they are complaining about.

6. Ryanair has absolutely nothing to do with money...
it's a bargain airline. It services normal everyday people.

That's what they mean, not some BS about nouveau riche.

3. You're right about the pole but
Prada and Armani would be considered crass, mass market junk - not quality.

5. LOL - You can count on British media to ignore the real issues when it comes to France.
The problem is just that life is so expensive in England that they want to rush and buy French properties, rising artificially prices. British people should solve their own problems without invading France once again.
