Bush: Iraq violence part of al-Qaida plot
I believe that was your plan mr bush*

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061128/ap_on_re_eu/bush

By DEB RIECHMANN

TALLINN, Estonia - President Bush said Tuesday that the sectarian violence rocking Iraq is part of an al-Qaida plot to goad Iraqi factions into repeated attacks and counterattacks.

"No question it's tough, no question about it," Bush said at a news conference with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. "There's a lot of sectarian violence taking place, fomented in my opinion because of the attacks by al-Qaida causing people to seek reprisal."

Bush, who travels to Jordan later in the week for a summit with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, said the latest cycle of violence does not represent a new era in Iraq. The country is reeling from the deadliest week of sectarian fighting since the war began in March 2003.

"We've been in this phase for a while," Bush said.

3. "We've been in this phase for a while," Bush said.
which phase would that be?

the "making progress" phase?

"turning a corner" phase?

"the new phase"?

4. he says "in my opinion"
I wonder is there any intelligence to back up his assertion.

Or is Bush's "opinion" supposed to be enough for us.

7. politicians should only be allowed to mention al Qaeda when referringt to three countries:
Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia.

Although it may exist beyond those, when Bush and others referring to it, they are lying by definition.

9. What an idiot.
Of course, I state the obvious. Only a small number of the "insurgents" within Iraq are members of Al Qaeda. The vast majority are Iraqis embroiled in a "civil" war with other sects and the American occupiers. But I'm sure Mr. Bush's "intelligence" tells him otherwise. :eyes:
In essence, he's still trying to perpetuate the BIG LIE about his reasoning for starting this war in the first place. If he'd admit that it was all a huge, fucked-up mistake from the beginning and get the hell out of there the Iraqis could probably sort it out on their own. But georgie NEVER admits to a mistake so the blood will continue to spill and the situation will continue to spin completely out of control until someone much smarter comes along to end this mess he got us into. The Bush Administration's "exit strategy" is to draw this out until after 2008 and then let the next President clean up the mess. Then the re--writing of history will begin and we'll soon see everything in the country named after him and the freepers will want his likeness placed on Mount Rushmore, much as the "Dutch" Reagan "legacy" has been shoved down our throats.
It's a sick, sick country we live in. :eyes:
