Bush Says He'll Press al-Maliki for Strategy for Success
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=adCtWxbVKoTk&refer=home

Nov. 28 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush said he will press Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on what is needed for success in Iraq and that increased sectarian violence there is part of a pattern than began nine months ago, downplaying concern the country is in civil war.

``I will ask him what is required and what is your strategy to be a country that can govern itself and sustain itself,'' Bush said today at a news conference in Tallinn, Estonia

Why hasn't * given anyone a stategy for success yet?

Maybe if he ponied up al-Maliki could do more.

1. I'm sorry. Why the fuck are we pressing him for success when we screwed it up?

6. Oh no, you've got it all wrong...
Pressing Maliki for success is like rubbing Buddha's belly for good luck.

4. At some point, bush will say it is Maliki's fault that Iraq is
so screwed up. Afterall, he didn't come up with
any ideas to fix it.

9. Malaki - Dead Man Walking
Sadly, that's one of the scenarios I see coming out of this dog & pony photo op. Malaki's been playing all ends against the middle and this could be his last performance. His main benefactor, Al Sadr, already has denounced this fiasco and this "kow towing" to the most hated man in that country is sure to piss off all sides. Any "agreement" that is reached is a non-starter. Malaki is turning into another Karzai...the mayor of the Green Zone. He dare venture outside, I fear someone will take a shot at him and we ramp up this civil war into warp drive.

11. Has he defined "success" yet? He tossed out "victory" quite
a while ago. I'd really like to know what his definition of the term "success" is.

His incompetence is brightly shining.

14. So the gist is Bush doesn't have a plan for Iraq and he's looking
for Democrats or Iraqi's or his Daddy's henchmen to give him one.

17. increased violence is a 'pattern' there. A pattern?
Who put that word in his mouth?

He will 'press' al-Maliki to tell him what is needed? Press him?

What is needed?

Perhaps the main thing the President will discuss is whether al-Maliki has any ideas on how to salvage the 'embassy' and the bases and how the oil deals can be saved.

We knew they were going into Iraq for their own agenda. We denounced it. We were called unpatriotic for not wanting to go to war there.

Now a so-called war there is ending in the worst possible way.

9-11 was a terrorist act that should have gone to court.

We created terrorists.

Who has the real peace solution?
