anti war video banned by mtv...check it out.
yet again proof that our country is ran off fear.it was banned because it did not agree with the their "truth". but it is truth, an inconvenient truth. mtv did not want to spend time defending its self for displaying such a video...our media is ran off of shallow grounds where unless(like the vid description) it contains things that sell aka, sex/cars/materialism, it wont be aired. in our world we need more freedom of expression more balls to have art expressing our surroundings, to have our TV show something of worth instead of pimp my ride, and date my FUCKING mom... our society is crap because we let it.

2. Actually a pretty good video - can't imagine why they'd ban it.
It's not a specifical anti-Iraq message and the violence is nowhere near as bad as other gangster rap vids we see. It was just generally anti-war, which MTV certainly has shown a lot of. Some of the images are quite moving, pairing ordinary life (like that guy washing his car) against images of troops dying in war. And the video didn't show any civilian casualties at all. That beach scene where the kid digs in the sand, and then the marines lower a flag draped coffin into the hole, is really powerful, too.

6. It questions the underpinnings of the war profiteers. MTV is aimed
at the age group that "volunteers" to fight. They need to be protected from the truth! :sarcasm"

9. The little kid on the beach and the flag draped coffin - wow
What a beautiful video.

I like the juxtaposition of "everyday life" and scenes of the war. It is very real in that way. We go about our daily lives and Bush tells us to shop. In the mean time, there are people whose every day life is being destroyed.

The scene of the school room when the chalkboard explodes and troops come through. Talk about no child left behind. Wow.

4. Banned in the same way The Right Bros. "Bush Was Right" was "banned?"
Or is this actually a popular band? (Sorry, I can't see the actual video because the site is blocked at work.)

8. A Perfect Circle is a worldwide known band, and MTV wouldn't do their Imagine cover in 2004.

10. That is an absolutely brilliant video.
No surprise MTV banned it- MTV forsook real musical content long ago in their effort to clear channel their video pablum.

Fuck 'em. How many real audiophiles actually tune in to MTV any more, expecting to hear good music? I'd wager not many...

12. Well of course they banned it. No T&A. No Misogyny.
It was simply a well crafted video that requires more than just a medulla oblongata to understand.
