Col. Ralph Peters is a blatherer

was on Wash. Journal this morning. the more he talked, the more he blathered. a caller called him on it and got his dander up. told the caller he could leave the country if he didn't like things and then dissed France.

seems he is in on the neo con civil war. thinks smirk and Rummy didn't kill enough Iraqs to get the job done.

he tried the tactic of speaking up for women's rights. didn't convince me. seemed like he used it to jab the mideast.

and he dissed the media.

seems he's been in the Kurd part at Iraq talking to their intelligence people (raised eyebrows) says they have established a paradise in the mideast. ??

blather on Ralph, we got your number.

1. Someone needs to remind these jackasses that the women of Iraq are now LESS FREE.
Because of US...

5. He said our job was to bring freedom to women tin the Islamic world.
He seemed to be a mix of Neo-Con and crazy. He dissed Kissinger/Baker/Bush and the Iraq Study Group...but that's typical Neo-Con. They never thought that group was harsh enough and because Poppy didn't go to Baghdad they were wimps.

All his talk about rights for women came off hollow when he said we needed to bomb the hell out of the place at the beginning. "If you don't cause enough casualties at the beginning to win the peace you will pay for it at the end"...was some quote he gave for the lack of our beating the hell of them so far.

2. Is this the same Ralph Peters that is the war fiction novelist?
If so, maybe he should stick to fiction.

I don't know about the author, he is definitely a fabulist. A snotty prick as well, just as the OP observed.

edit: All about Ralph...

4. Yes...according to C-Span host. He writes fiction but also Military
Strategy novels. I agree with you...he should stick with the fiction.

6. When I heard him refer to Condi Rice as "our brilliant secretary of state"
that did it for me. It is pretty clear by now if it wasn't before that the only person who could make Condi look brilliant is George Bush II.
