'I'm not going to pull our troops off the battlefield before the mission is complete'
bush in his bubble....

"There's one thing I'm not going to do, I'm not going to pull our troops off the battlefield before the mission is complete," he said in a speech setting the stage for high-stakes meetings with the Iraqi prime minister later this week. "We can accept nothing less than victory for our children and our grandchildren."

<snip>

Bush has resisted troop withdrawals even while projecting the need for a different approach.

"We'll continue to be flexible and we'll make the changes necessary to succeed," the president said.

<snip>

"No question it's tough, no question about it," Bush said at a news conference with Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. "There's a lot of sectarian violence taking place, fomented in my opinion because of these attacks by al-Qaida, causing people to seek reprisal."

17. Not in Bush's view. He thinks we left Viet Nam too soon and should have stayed
until either there was no US Army left or no Vietnamese left.

12. Somebody needs to sit this child down and talk some cold turkey
to him. Almost nobody is paying attention to him anymore and those that are don't believe him. I can't decide if he still believes his own bullshit or whether he has just run out of things to say in justification of his fuckups. If he really believes what he is saying, he's certifiable. If not he's a fuckin liar. That's it, there are no other options. And WTF is all this al qaida shit anyway?

15. All he'd have to do is read Yahoo news daily
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 02:12 PM by lyonn
to get a clue as to what is really happening in Iraq, Syria, Iran, etc. We all know more than he apparently does. But, there is this problem, he doesn't read. He has info fed to him by those that put him in power and he is their yes man. Perfect president for the neocons, an idiot! The neocons don't read Yahoo news either! I use Yahoo as that is what pops up on my screen and it is quite informative. Better than the Press Conferences this administration provides for the MSM's use.

bush never mentions the actual happenings on the ground in Iraq, and Iran's part in this operation, and Syria's, Lebanon, etc. It's called tunnel vision and thousands die for power mixed with stupidity. Ugh!

Edit: Let's put it this way, if you read what is really happening in Iraq, etc., at least you know the questions to ask, bush asks no questions, just makes demands like a person mentally retarded/deficient.

19. Define success, killer. This is really more about him saving face than anything else.
Hell, he lied us into the war and slaughtered thousands, theirs and ours, and it has continued daily since. Why the hell would he hesitate to let the killing continue until he can find some way to climb on top of the mass graves and declare victrory. Its all about him and his legacy, the lives of our troops, and Iraqi civilians, are not a factor.

mission... It was accompished already, yet instead of setting up rebuilding forces, they kept combat manuevers in place and escalated the violence... Unstable Iraq = more money for oil.

Also, if you really like what the US military does when setting up base, just read Cindy Sheehan's letter from S. Korea.... Great insight to our great forces. Displacing people for a golf club.

our election and the violence was going to decrease once another glorious Rethug congress was installed.

Of course, before that it was Ramadan - yup, those insurgents were just trying to mess up Ramadan, cranky fasting sorts who just had to blow shit up remember? And after Ramadan, everything would settle down again.

Excuse after excuse after excuse.

Cindy Sheehan put it very well. What "noble cause" did her son die for? What is the mission and when have we "won?"
