The pro-science blogosphere is weighing in with angry comments about the National Science Teachers Association's refusal to accept DVD copies of Al Gore's: "An Inconvenient Truth" while they are using videos from fossil-fule companies as classroom teaching materials.

this article from Phil PLatt's
Bad Astronomy blog. Phil has links to other sites with opinions on this, such as:
Pharyngula,
Orcinus, and
RealClimate.Org. The last is an attempt to head off the usual "Global Warming Skeptics," i.e. 'trolls', like unto those that show up at DU.
The post by
Skeptigirl is particularly interesting. The lady's done her homework on corporate connections on the part of NSTA itself, as well as the agenda of corporate "advisors."
Her verdict on the organization itself:
It’s clear this group is deeply connected to the corporate world. At the same time the membership doesn’t appear on its face to be corporate people. They look like ambitious science teachers. In my opinion, they need a wake up call reminding them they do not serve science education best by promoting a convenient blind spot when it comes to criticizing actions of the corporate world.
Phil Platt and his compatriots have fought the good fight on the Climate Change (Global Warming) and "Intelligent" Design issues. He deserves some support from DU'ers. Add links to his site to your blogs and journals and leave some positive comments on Bad Astronomy. We may end up attracting some of the wingnuts who infest this place; but, hopefully, we'll get more positive support for science and science bloggers.
