Why is Obama's Evil in Rick Warren's Pulpit?
Could these fools be any more ridiculous?

Rick Warren, the best selling author of The Purpose Driven Life and senior teaching pastor at Saddleback Church in California, has invited Barack Obama to speak to the congregation of the faithful on December 1, 2006. In doing so he has joined himself with one of the smoothest politicians of our times, and also one whose wickedness in worldview contradicts nearly every tenant of the Christian faith that Warren professes.

So the question is, "why?"

U.S. Senator Barack Obama smiles as he campaigns for Iraq War veteran and Democratic Congressional candidate Tammy Duckworth in Elmhurst, Illinois, November 6, 2006. Duckworth was co-piloting a Black Hawk helicopter north of Baghdad on November 12, 2004, when a rocket-propelled grenade struck the cockpit of her aircraft and exploded. Ten days later, when she woke up at Walter Reed Memorial Hospital in Maryland, she learned that the explosion would cost her both of her legs and had shattered her right arm.

(snip)

Barack Obama has a long history of defying the intended morality of scripture. As a state legislator he actively worked to preserve availability of abortion in all nine months of pregnancy. He opposed parental notification. He opposed any and all bans on partial birth abortion (an act that includes delivery of the baby up to the head, the crushing of the baby's brain, the suctioning of the brain matter, and then completed delivery of the child's deflated cranium.) In his run for the U.S. Senate Obama even asked his wife to pen a letter to Illinois voters that reassured them of his commitment to fighting for the right to butcher children in the womb.

(more-- barf alert)

2. This is the best thing that could happen to Obama
He's only appealing to the sane ones. The nuts will hate him no matter what. He's the wrong color, for starters. But the sane ones are in a listening mood now. And Obama has a message that will appeal to them. I spent four days with him doing a story, and attended about 30 speeches. He's the best I've ever seen. Better than Clinton. You just see a whole crowd start nodding their heads...Republicans AND Democrats.

If he runs, he will win. By a landslide.

3. This is in my neck of the woods on Friday.
Red area with the holiest of holies here in OC spread all around. Major blue area next door in Laguna Beach that will turn out in droves to hear him as well. Its smart and he is the heart of republican crazies to beard the Lion in its own den. He'll also drive book sales through the roof. Good move. Not my guy right now, but I like him.
