|
I hope he reconsiders. I prefer Obama at the moment, but I want to take a long look at the best we have, and Gore is certainly in the top three to me.

28. Do you have a link or anything to what he said? |
|
I hadn't heard that. He's been leaving the door open a bit, and I hope he hasn't shut it tight. He's my first choice far and away. If he officially drops out for real, I'm not sure who I'm going to support. Kerry had been my #2 after I met him this summer, but at this point I don't think he has a prayer, so I need to figure out who to get behind.

5. Jimmy Carter endorsed Al Gore for '08 |
|
and said that most of us realize he was really elected in 2000 anyway. He said he hopes Gore runs and agrees with his stand on the war and the environment and believes he is best suited for the job.

I just hope Gore listens and does everything he can to repair global warming and the rest of the global issues brought about by this administration. Including election reform. He should have some special interest in that. :-)

38. A bit like the cheese shop sketch... "come again?" |
|
Wensleydale Good morning, sir. Mousebender Good Morning. I was sitting in the public library on Thurmon Street just now, skimming through 'Rogue Herries' by Horace Walpole, when suddenly I came over all peckish. Wensleydale Peckish, sir? Mousebender Esurient. Wensleydale Eh? Mousebender (broad Yorkshire) Eee I were all hungry, like! Wensleydale Oh, hungry. Mousebender (normal accent) In a nutshell. So I thought to myself, 'a little fermented curd will do the trick'. So I curtailed my Walpolling activites, sallied forth and infiltrated your place of purveyance to negotiate the vending of some cheesy comestibles. (smacks his lips) Wensleydale Come again. Mousebender (broad nothern accent) I want to buy some cheese. Wensleydale Oh, I thought you were complaining about the music! Mousebender (normal voice) Heaven forbid. I am one who delights in all manifestations of the terpsichorean muse. Wensleydale Sorry? Mousebender I like a nice dance - you're forced to.
The op was a bit cryptic.

C'mon we never deserve to lose, ever because that would mean what we've got now or something enough like it that it wouldn't make no differencewould be in power and even the worst Democrat we could run would be better than that.

by President Carter saying "you may want to talk about that(referring to Carter's thoughts on Israeli politics), but I want to talk about Palestine." He was smooth and sharp.
Gore is great and President Carter openly said he was elected. That was truly awesome!:patriot:
