Jeb Bush will move into Gables condo
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/16117772.htm

Jeb Bush, who will soon vacate the governor's mansion in Tallahassee, is moving to The City Beautiful. Bush and wife Columba are renting a ninth-floor condo in Segovia Tower in Coral Gables.

A high-end building, with million-dollar plus apartments and just one unit per floor. Residents: attorney Jim Ferraro, who has two units, including a two-story penthouse; Gables couturier Rene Ruiz and partner Brad Rosenblatt; personal injury lawyer Ralph Patino; and Holland & Knight attorney Marilyn Holifield. Bush's condo application comes before the Segovia Tower board on Friday, the day he and Columba are set to move in. But Ferraro, a board member, says it's just a formality. ``I don't need to meet with him.''

Rent is $5,500 per month for the 3,949 square foot unit. The condo has three bedrooms, three baths plus a powder room, overlooks Granada Golf Course and is walking distance to Miracle Mile. Bush's landlord is Rolando Iglesias, a builder and real estate investor, and wife Hilda. Segovia Tower, completed in 1998, is fitting for the lame duck guv, whose older brother is president and daddy ex-president. There's an on-site manager, full-time concierge, and 24-hour security. The private elevators are keyed to each floor.

''Very tough to get in,'' Ferraro says. ``There's limited access, and cameras everywhere.''

4. OT, but I thought Orlando was "The City Beautiful"
Personally, I think neither Coral Gables nor Orlando deserves the title, but Orlando has signs all over the place that say "Welcome to Orlando, the City Beautiful."
