He's never wrong. It's all about his ego and his "beliefs". He's "the decider", the "war president" and his ego won't allow him to admit that he's a totally fucked-up loser. I think he actually knows that he'll go down in history as the worst President this country has ever had but he's clinging to the delusion that he can still redeem himself, that god is going to intervene and make everything better. After all, it was god that chose him for the job in the first place, right? He and god are tight, homeboys. God told him to invade Iraq (along with his sniveling, cowardly neo-con pals) and god doesn't make mistakes. God is omnipotent and absolute therefore HE is as well.
