Our nation's response to tyranny is pretty sad.
It's like I'm waiting for the punchline, and waiting and waiting. Insane maniacs have conquered America right under our noses just like my dad always predicted, only he thought it was the Commies, taking over the government 'from within'.

Here we are trapped in a disastrous war with seemingly no escape because tyrants are in charge and we stand around like fattened cattle. Only 10% of us even realize what's going on. Our constitution shows us the way to handle a tyrannical government, but we ignore it.

At some point you have to just be ashamed of our nation, not we personally, but as a whole. Good god look at what we've learned to accept, look what we are becoming, look at our impotence to stop the maniacs.

I think that people are waking up though, just not enough and not quick enough. It's already too late to undo the damage bush has done in our names, now we will have to clean up the fucking mess. But damn, things move at such a glacial pace, this is a crisis, this is an emergency, this is the Titanic and Captain Smith is an idiot, we need to act, in a concrete way to take back the nation.

I get so tired of waiting, and I feel so powerless as an individual and a patriot, and our nation's response to bush and the neo cons is so disheartening. Something needs to be done and it needs to be done yesterday.

1. Just remember John Adams' view of the American Revolution
One third were for it, one third against it, and one third didn't care.
