I could swear I saw the exact opposite headline on CNN
yesterday. Today it says:

"New home sales slip, but prices jump"

http://money.cnn.com/2006/11/29/news/economy/newhomes/index.htm?postversion=2006112910

I could swear that yesterday when I read it, it said that sales were picking up but prices were dropping.

Here's an example:

"Existing home prices tumble despite sales uptick"

http://www.latimes.com/news/la-112806homesales,0,315907.story?track=mostviewed-homepage

What the heck is going on - BushCo manipulating the headlines to keep the sheeple in line? :tinfoilhat:

1. You did, yesterday was a report about existing homes, today's is new homes...
The results were opposite of each other's...

2. new homes versus existing homes?
Edited on Wed Nov-29-06 11:05 AM by gkhouston
The new homes aren't selling but their prices are higher. The old homes are selling, but the buyers aren't getting as much as they'd hoped.

on edit: who cares if the new homes are higher-priced if people aren't actually buying them and you can't afford them anyway because you didn't get as much as you'd hoped for your existing house?

5. all sorts of pathetic games are going on
and we sit back and watch the decline of the once great American Empire we once believed in. LIE LIE LIE LIE LIE LIE LIE! Maybe if they keep it up long enough everyone will still believe in this hoax of an economy.

CURE: U.S. OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST NOW & IMPEACH AND IMPRISON ALL OF WAR CRIMINALS!
