If dems win big in the next election, I fully expect some right-wing violence. (Not a civil war!)

Think of the Clinton years, but more. During Clinton you had a few idiots go all the way, like McVeigh, the Olympic bomber, etc, but you had a lot of paranoid militia type groups scared and holding on to their guns. Lets keep in mind these are very small groups relatively speaking, but small groups can cause damage.

Now, I think after 8 years of Bush, these extreme elements have bought the whole "LEFT = TERRORISTS" rhetoric and you also have a lot of religious extremists who are being told the godless secular progressive left is trying to take away christmas and other things like that.

So while I think talk of major civil conflict is nonsense, I would not be surprised if we see a flare up in right-wing violence if the dems win big in 08, specially if we're able to keep the Supreme Court from going right. Bush got their hopes up for restoration of the "christian nation" or whatever else they were hoping for, I think they'll finally snap.

So what do you think? Again, when I say violence I mean small group violence, what most Americans would call terrorism. Bombings, torching of buildings, random shootings, etc.

1. No, no, no
They simply don't have the balls for violence. They talk, type and primp and pose like the freeper freaks they are. They have no balls.

2. Possible
I think its more likely in the first part of the new year when Democrats take over - by 2008 they will have resigned themselves a bit more towards sharing the country with us - I hope.

5. Exactly what a caller
to Washington Journal said this morning. He said if the Democrats win in 08 people can forget about the ballot box and will turn to the bullet box.

Something told me the comment was not original to the caller.
